What to write about?. I always have trouble writing about things, but I guess today I am going to write about how I wish this day had an extra hour because right now I am rushing doing this blog posts that I should had done weeks ago. But I instead Decided to do something else earlier today and forgot about this I'm just hoping that this are enough blog posts for today and for this semester because I really had a hard time remembering to do them.

Future

This past few weeks have been really stressful because of all of the finals that I have had, but I am happy to say that I passed all of my classes with a good grade, and that I am really looking forward to next fall I am also hoping that this summer I am able to decide on what career I want to go for. It is really hard because one day I want to be something the other I want to do and be something else, and other days I don't want to do anything. I just wish I was rich.

weekend

I really can't wait until I get my next paycheck so I can go shopping . I have been wanting to go since a very long time, but I haven't had the chance hopefully. This weekend I can go and buy me some stuff and my mother as well since her birthday is coming up although I don't know what to get her I'm sure ill be able to find her something nice.

summer

Another post about summer. I think I posted about this already but oh well. Summer is here and School is officially over for a while. Now the question is what to do with all of this free time? Well This summer I will be working again in a factory first shift, after work I will try to make myself go to the gym or out to the park to run. Other than that probably try to catch up with some friends and spend some time with the family before we  have classes again.

foods

I have a lot of favorite foods. I don't really have one in specific that I would consider calling my favorite food I think that some of my favorite foods are pizza, posole, tostadas, mole and tamales they are all mostly Mexican foods that I enjoy eating. My mom is not a really big fan of cooking so I don't really eat them us much, but when I do I really enjoy them. My least favorite foods would be spaghetti and chili I don't really have a reason why other that I don't like how they taste.  

Android or Iphone?

I am team Android. I personally prefer androids over IPhones better mainly because of the size I don't really like small phones I like having a big phone with me. Another reason why I prefer androids better is because having an android you don't have to worry about having to download music it is much more easier, and faster than having an IPhone . I have not ever been team IPhone but I have tried looking at some and to me they are just like the Apple IPods.

Websites

Besides Social media cites like Facebook, Instagram, or snapchat. Other websites that I usually use are YouTube, and Google. I like to use YouTube to listen to music, and to see their videos, and to sometimes also see what's going on in the world, with all the different kind of videos that they have. I like to use google because it is a good website for finding information. Every time I want to know something I just ask google for an answer. Google is also helpful because it helps me find places like addresses, restaurants, stores and more.  

Chocolate or vanilla?

I think that personally it depends which flavor you choose when talking about different kinds of foods, for example if someone asked me chocolate cupcakes or vanilla cupcakes. I think that I would go with the chocolate cupcakes, but if someone else asked me if I prefer chocolate or vanilla Ice cream I would go with the vanilla ice cream because having to much chocolate ice cream is just to much for me. Which do you prefer Chocolate or vanilla?

Tv Shows

I would have to say that the t.v shows that I am obsessed with are Orange is the new black, Switched at birth, The walking death, The Fosters, and How I met your mother. I like this shows because some of this shows have Drama, Action, and comedy that I really enjoy, and I would also recommend for you to take a look at some of them in your free time. Some of the older shows that I still enjoy watching are Friends, That 70 show, and Everybody loves Raymond.

Final Blog Post Topic

My favorite project this semester was doing our personal narrative. It was a really easy assignment to do for me, because I already knew what I wanted to write about, and it made it easier for me to write the paper. My least favorite assignment this semester was having to do the Analysis papers because it was, so much to write in such an small amount of time, And I just didn't like the assignment. I have learned that I need to start making time if I don't have time to do what's important. What I wish I had learned was how to write my papers a little more better.

Spring Break

I don't really have anything big planned for spring break this year like a trip or anything like that. This spring break I'm mostly going to catch up with homework and things that need to be done other than work I will try to make time to hang out with some of my friends that I haven't seen in a while and have fun. Also, do a little clothes shopping and spend some quality time with my family as well, and if i have time left catch up on Netflix of course. 

offensive words

I don't think that anyone has said a word to me that has offended me because in most cases I knew that they were joking, and people who had said this words where close friends or family. I once told one of my little cousins who is about 14 who was trying to act all grown up and disrespectful towards her parents that she was still a child and that no matter how old she was she should always listen to them and to please act like her own age but by her face expressions that she made when I told her that she was still a child I could tell that she was offended and she even told me that she was not a child that she was grown, but anyways from this experienced I learned that kids don't like to be called kids or child or little because they will find it offensive.

My guilty pleasure

I would have to say that my guilty pleasure if it's consider one would be that once I find a good TV series to watch I can spend hours watching it sometimes I would even watch four or five episodes per day if I have enough time to watch it trying to finish that season as fast as I can to see what is going to happen next and how is it's going to end. Once I"m done with that one I immediately look for another interesting series to watch on Netflix. I would consider my addiction for TV serious  kinda bad because it distracts me from other things like studying time or homework and other important things.

Media

How does media influence us? I think that in today's society media plays a big role in our lives and has influenced us in many different ways in which we depend on for information and communication and to keep other activities and services with which we are involved in like education, entertainment and more. Media has also a big impact in the way that we act and express our self by hearing and observing the ways that others act trough media it encourages the audience to pick up on those things that can impact the way in which you think dress or live.

So this week I turned 19 on Wednesday and I didn't get a chance to do anything really.  As soon as i got up I went to work and then right after work I went to my classes from 4-9 I was so tired that I decided to just go home and spend some time with my family since I didn't make any plans with any of my friends hopefully i get to do something fun this weekend or buy me something really nice because i mean you don't turn 19 everyday right?. I'm just hoping next year will be better than how this year was.

Time

The week has just started and I am already feeling stressed. I feel like I need and deserve a break from school and work right about now.  I had decided to do all of my homework and study for some of my classes and take care of other stuff I had to do, but what I did instead was sit around the house all weekend and here I am now trying to do it all in one night but I guess that's what I get for not doing things when I had the chance to do them and for not being more organized. But the real problem here is time not having enough time to do everything you need to do during the week that you rush into things and you just want the weekend to relax and catch up in all the sleep you missed. 

High school books

I think that my favorite text from High School that I read was the Great Gatsby because its not a typical love story that ends like most love stories do with happiness. The Great Gatsby is based on lies and betrayals of two careless people. This story also talks about "The American Dream how Jay Gatsby went from a "Mr. Nobody from no where" from obscure poverty to having immense wealth it is a really great interesting text that i recommend reading if you haven't already.  My least favorite text that I read would have to be the book of Malcolm X. 

movie review

This weekend I decided to take my two little brothers and myself to the movies to watch The SpongeBob movie: Sponge out of Water. I can honestly say I was expecting more out of the movie it was a good movie but it wasn't as great as i tough it was going to be although  it had many funny scenes I enjoyed the scenes where he was actually in the water a lot more. The animation was great but it was disappointing that almost all of the whole out of water stuff was like 25% of the movie. I was a little unsatisfied but it is a good movie to take kids to.  I think that most of the kids enjoyed this movie, so i give it a 8/10.

Narrative&Stories

A narrative is a series of connected events that tell a story based on true events. Narratives are written to tell a true story from life experiences that most times identify  the readers with the characters in the story or with the story itself. We tell stories mainly to share experiences with other people and to keep those memories alive by sharing them with others like family and friends. In my opinion I think that when you tell a story it is easier for the other person to visualize the events better throughout the story making the other person feel more connected to the events.

Things I want to do

This are just a few of the things I want to do one day hopefully in the near future. I want to learn how to swim. I know that most of the people my age know how to swim but I don't and I have tried several times but I just can't seem to do it right. I want to travel as much and experience different cultures and meet different people around the world. I also want to learn how to speak at least two different languages. I want to reach my ideal weight, learn how to ballroom dance and many other more...

A story

A story can be in the form of fictional or non fictional events that are put together to make a good story that can be told by anyone to entertain perhaps to inform. It is a way of sharing feelings, thoughts, and experiences  through writing or spoken words.  In my opinion what makes a good story is the suspense that keeps you wanting to know more about the story. What happens next? how does the story end?.  It is what keeps the reader interested and sometimes by reading or listening to the first few sentences of that story you would know if you want to keep reading or listening to the story.

My day

So I'm sitting here and I am having trouble thinking about what I should write that will catch your attention ,but instead I decided to write about my day.  Monday morning I didn't go to work, so I get up brush my teeth and get some cereal I help clean the house and once the house is clean I sit down for about an hour and watch a novela (Mexican soap opera) then I watch another one and then another one finally I get up and I head to the kitchen to get a snack "oh pizza!" I grab a piece two hours later I go and take a shower and I get ready for my next class.  As I am driving to my cardio class a squirrel jumps right at my car and I hit it and there I am feeling terrible for that poor squirrel that committed suicide.  Anyways, I get to class and we all get a good workout at the end of the day I was thinking of just calling it a day going home and right to bed as soon as I realized that I had homework due tomorrow that today was only Monday and that the week had just started.

Blog post #1

Hi everyone my name is Yulisa Hurtado.  I am taking general studies this semester and I am currently working full time and going to school full time which doesn't give me enough time to do all the things that I used to do.  Hopefully I can remember to post and to keep up with all of the homework we will be having this semester. I really hope I do good in this class and in all of my other classes as well.  I love weekends and holidays but who doesn't?.  At the end of the day what I really look forward to is just going home and relaxing in bed with a new episode of House.
